I would call their music something between gothic folk and folkish jazz. Lovely medieval tones modernised by the use of electric guitars. I think it's beautiful and so artistic. I love this music. It immediately cheered me up when I was sinking into the abyss of despair with so many problems to solve and so many worries that take away my sleep recently... ;/- ;-) :-)

Great and inspiring music. Wonderful therapy for a lost soul that likes to romanticise about the past and explore its long forgotten mysteries. Light-hearted and fast paced melodies full of life that bring a dream to reality. Sounds to unwind and relax on a lonely evening. :-)

In the night my escape...!
I cry - I shed tears that no one ever bothereth to dry;
I gaze into the night
with my eyes half-blind from weeping
and I care not about time passing when I should be sleeping -
for my night and my day have mingled already
and to me, there is no difference so far
in the changing of darkness and light.
Equally painful, equally hurteth
to be here or elsewhere on earth - I have not yet seen
a miracle happen that I might be free -
and thus, I can't help the feeling of doom
and approaching end will only be my salvation;
liberating me from my chains - death I do not fear, no more...
I welcome thee, oh infinity that givest me strength to live,
and my tired heart in thy shadow falleth asleep.
I welcome thee - for thou knowest my ordeal
and from thy spring of everlasting peace I shall drink
happily, of the world oblivious, and let go -
for now, I only wish to rest; neither feel, nor think,
deep beneath the ground meet with bliss
of not ever knowing

WAITING WITH NO END...
 

 

Night; peace of sleep that does not come -
endless waiting...
My whole life is but waiting and I'm already bored;
boredom of expecting something to happen,
boredom of wasted time that cannot be retrieved -
boredom of my lonely hours in which I stare
into the darkness and think, and hope, hope - and despair...!
 
In great misery I have been submerged,
drown in the sea of illusion.
Now, my ghost haunts the minds of those
whose eagle sight I wish to avoid;
they happily build for my head yet another guillotine...

THE ALLURE OF DARKNESS...
 

 

 
Silent storm on the sea in which I drown
day by day has made me wonder
about the meaning hidden of life and death,
but it was at birth in me already -
with the breeze of a cloudy morning,
with the waves enraged and furious thunders,
with the air of an early spring that cries with rain;
I merely discovered a new land
when the darkness my heart embraced...
 
Centuries old, my soul desolate
sails on waters restless and eager to swallow
each and every survivor from a wrecked ship;
my spirit inhabits the vast abyss of time.
I do not choose my destiny;
I do not want to be here - the world is not my place...
By sunlight I burn to ashes,
only night can be a shelter
to my homeless existence.
 
I emerge from beneath the ocean, from nothingness I appear -
I am but shadow walking upon the surface of the earth,
my hopeless dreams always seem to drift away -
and I only wish I could be somewhere else,
yet, before I depart, I am bound to stay...
Prisoner of fate, I rebel - and I seek refuge in the tranquility of the grave;
in its cool breath my mind at peace, my heart wild and free,
finally can rest - my ears enjoy the sound of crushing waves
and the wind blowing above my forlorn head...

On the wings of the oblivion -
tears bittersweet,
hope and despair come and go...
 
If my heart ceased to beat,
no human voice would be heard
in the cold empty air.
No flowers would adorn my resting place,
but if a friendly hand
should wish to honour my memory when I'm gone -
let it be black roses and a verse
from the book of life that I wrote alone.
A word engraved in stone
is not the one to be forgotten;
when you see my grave, it should be a poem
and speak by itself.
 
The clouds will mourn me enough
when heavy rains fall and clean the paths
upon which I trod, unaware of my own existence...
 
May windsong be my last threnody;
I will listen to it quietly
and enjoy its sharp cruel tones,
and I will fall asleep with its melody
still sounding to me on the other side,
as if from another world.

Lakes like mirrors, in the evening air
reflect my longing, a wandering spirit
lost on the paths of immense sorrow,
heart burning with indignation
at life that hurts to the core,
and so, I seek my solitary ways;
an escape in time and oblivion.
Eyes of the world, the walls have ears -
no one is truly free while alive,
yet some place out there for me only has been made -
under the skies, those dark waters full of calm,
where I can feel that life is still worth living...
